Input
Description
Input variables allow you to use data inside of the macro that are retrieved from a different macro or from a job. Learn more about the Input Portal command.
Create input variables
- Open the macro
- Open the variables tab by clicking on the
slidersbutton - Click on the
plusbutton - A modal will show, make sure you are in the
inputtab - Enter your unique variable name
- Select the data type you want the variable to be
- Give the variable a initial default value
- Click
continue - You will find your input variables listed under the
inputtab
Update input variables
- Open the macro
- Open the variables tab by clicking on the
slidersbutton - You will find your input variables listed under the
inputtab - Click on the
settingsbutton - A Modal will pop up providing you with the setted values
- Update the
variable name - Update the
data type - Update the
initial values - Click
continue
Remove input variables
- Open the macro
- Open the variables tab by clicking on the
slidersbutton - You will find your input variables listed under the
inputtab - Click on the
removebutton - A Modal will pop up asking you if you are sure you want to remove the variable
- Click
confirm
